This site is dedicated to the premise that a life filled with laughter is more enjoyable, more rewarding, and more complete.  We are among the only living creatures that have the ability to laugh.  And laughter has been clinically proven to provide significant emotional and physiological benefits.  Yet we live in a world that increasingly categorizes laughter as a frivolous waste of our productive energy.

There's a reason people describe the ability to laugh freely as a healthy sense of humor.  Few things in life can add more to your physical and emotional well-being.  And unlike diets and exercise, the benefits are instantaneous.  It's impossible to feel bad while you're laughing.  And it's impossible to laugh with somebody you don't like.

The secret here is that laughter is a spontaneous emotional response that takes momentary control of our body and brain, and when the laugh is over it's all too easy to let things go back "to normal".  So don't let that happen.  Flex your sense of humor and laugh at every opportunity.  You'll notice an immediate difference.  More importantly, so will everyone around you.

Consider this - by the time a child begins kindergarten, they laugh an average of 300 times per day.  That's 300 times each day they find something so amusing they break into spontaneous laughter.  Adults, on the other hand, laugh an average of 17 times each day.  Now consider that we both live in the same world, and we both see and hear the same things.  The answer should be obvious - they're laughing at us!

Then consider that children are, as a whole, much more energetic, healthy, and vibrant than most adults.  Age, you say?  Maybe.  There are definite advantages to youth.  But when you take a look at the number of octogenarians out on the golf course or dancing the night away, that argument starts to fade.  A closer look at these folks reveals something much more compelling - laughter is still a very important part of their life.  It's been said that we don't stop laughing because we grow old - we grow old because we stop laughing.  Truer words have never been spoken.

I've dedicated the past twelve years to helping people discover the humor that is all around them, and to enjoy it in a way that makes each day just a little brighter.  To me there is no greater joy than to share a few laughs.

I hope you'll visit this site often and share it with your family and friends, or even that old curmudgeon at work who never seems to smile.  But most of all, I hope you'll find some inspiration to help you get through life's trials with your sense of humor intact.  Because that, to a large measure, determines how much we enjoy the really good days.

So welcome aboard!  I hope you enjoy the ride.
